Queensland Youth Week is an annual celebration recognising young people aged 12 to 25 across the state.
Held between Saturday, 11 April and Sunday, 19 April, the celebration highlights the talents and achievements of young people, showcases their contributions to their communities, and provides opportunities for them to participate in activities, share ideas and connect with others.
This year, City of Moreton Bay will once again host a range of free Youth Week events, offering something for everyone from tech-lovers and creatives to those keen to explore new skills. Activities include experimenting with 3D printing, learning to craft a unique perfume, and making a digital album cover.
City of Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery said Queensland Youth Week was an important opportunity to recognise and empower young people across the region.
“Queensland Youth Week provides an opportunity to celebrate young people as they showcase their talents and contributions, participate in events and share their points of view locally,” Mayor Flannery said.
“Whatever their interest, we encourage our City’s young people to experience any one of the exciting activities that will be on offer in Moreton Bay during Youth Week in April.”
