Thirsty Chiefs Brewing Company invites you to help celebrate their first decade with fun, food, a special birthday brew and live music.

Come and enjoy the family-friendly party vibe, featuring food trucks like Southern Smoke BBQ, lucky door prizes, a face painter for the kids, and foot-tapping tunes from local band In Exile, who are celebrating their 10th birthday on Saturday, 26 July, too.

Owner of Thirsty Chiefs Brewing Company, Dean Nolan, said he had many happy memories of the past 10 years and looked forward to another 10 of happy crowds and live music.

“We might be a small venue, but the big names love playing here as they get such a great welcome,” he said.

“Ben Lee played here the first time he played live after Covid. We have had Murray from The Wiggles playing with another band. The Dregs from the Sunshine Coast have performed here a few times. Ash Grunwald played here last year, and he is back again in August.”

A Decade of Music, Memories and Community

Dean said most of the musicians were wonderful people, and some went beyond expectations.

“Alex Lloyd has played here twice – he’s a great musician and an incredibly nice guy. When my father passed, Alex recorded versions of Amazing and Hallelujah to be played at Dad’s funeral. That was very special.

“One of my favourite moments was when Spy V Spy played here. I used to live in Newcastle and loved seeing them play there. I’m a real fan.

“To have them play here in my venue was quite surreal. They were so nice – they even presented me with a framed signed poster with drumsticks.”

Dean said he was looking forward to sharing the birthday celebrations with faces both new and familiar.

“We have been here 10 years and people are still just finding us,” he said. “Then they keep coming back for the relaxed vibe and great music.

“It’s a different vibe to anywhere else. It’s so friendly and there’s never any trouble.’’

Entry is free. Gather friends and family and make some memories here of your own.
