Community groups across City of Moreton Bay are being encouraged to explore a range of funding opportunities that support local projects and strengthen community connections.
The grants provide funding across three key areas: community activities, facilities and local support projects. Whether it’s a club upgrading equipment, a cultural group hosting an event, or an environmental organisation delivering a new program, there are options to suit a wide range of community needs.
Mayor Peter Flannery encouraged eligible organisations to explore the opportunities.
“Council is proud to support the growth of art, culture, sports and recreation through funding and grants, making City of Moreton Bay an even better place to live,” Mayor Flannery said.
“Our community grants program allows not-for-profit organisations to apply for up to $30,000 to support local community, cultural, sporting and environmental initiatives.”
Grant Types, Funding Amounts and How to Apply
Funding of up to $5000 is available through the Local Community Support Grant, while the Community Activities Grant offers up to $20,000. Groups looking to improve facilities can apply for up to $30,000 through the Community Facilities Grant.
Other grants include the Regional Arts Development Fund Grants, which provide up to $15,000 for artists, creative practitioners and cultural workers; Individual Achievement Grants for residents under 25 participating in national or international events or competitions; the Our Healthy Environment Grants, offering up to $50,000 to support projects protecting wildlife habitats, coasts and waterways; and City of Moreton Bay Scholarships, assisting local students studying at UniSC Moreton Bay or UniSC Caboolture.
