Do you still have memories of delicious juicy turkey from Christmas 2025? Well why not enjoy these tasty healthy burgers, ideal for mid-week cooking. Serve with wholemeal rolls and a generous serve of salad to make a satisfying meal. Turkey is an ideal swap for beef burgers and the added cranberries give a sweet fresh flavour.

Ingredients

  • 250 lean turkey mince
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 50gr dried cranberries
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
  • ½ cup wholemeal bread crumbs
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 4 wholemeal bread rolls
  • Mixed salad of your choice

Method

  1. Soak the cranberries in orange juice for 30 minutes – then drain.
  2. Combine mince, onion, drained cranberries, bread crumbs and enough of the beaten egg mix to moisten. (I used approx. ½ the egg)
  3. Mix well with your hands, then shape into four generous sized burgers. Put in the fridge for approximately 1 hour before cooking.
  4. Heat a non-stick pan or BBQ plate and cook on each side for six minutes.
  5. Serve on a wholemeal bread roll with a generous serving of salad.
