Families across Moreton Bay are invited to experience a day of connection and community when The Lakes College (TLC) hosts its Open Day, followed by Picnic in the Park, this month.
The Open Day on Saturday, 7 March, provides an opportunity for both new and current families to explore the campus, meet the principal and heads of school, staff, and students, and see learning in action across all year levels.
Principal Nicole Gregory said the event was an important date in the college calendar.
“It’s always special to see our community come together like this,” Nicole said. “It truly shows the sense of belonging at TLC.”
The Open Day will give prospective families the chance to tour the campus, from the pirate ship in the prep playground to interactive secondary displays featuring robots and LEGO creations.
The day also features live performances, student enterprise stalls and demonstrations across sport and swimming.
Fun for the Whole Family: The Annual Picnic in the Park
Following the Open Day, families are invited to stay for Picnic in the Park, a long-standing tradition organised by parent volunteers from the TLC Community Association. The afternoon will include waterslides, inflatables, snow cones, a sausage sizzle, popcorn, giant lawn games and music.
