LEGO enthusiasts will have the chance to buy, sell and discover special sets at a Northside BrickResales pop-up event this month.
The event, which takes place at Strathpine Community Centre on 7 November, will feature brand new and preloved LEGO, including individual parts, minifigures, animals, gift cards, retired sets and even some prizes.
BrickResales founder Judy Friedman said the northside event was a return to the company’s roots after the pandemic forced the cancellation of more than 32 events in one year.
“We do have many customers who still come from the northside to our showroom, so we decided to treat everyone north of the river to another event, just like the old days,” Judy said.
Preloved Treasures and Community Event Details
BrickResales began in 2009 as an events-based business before opening its Coopers Plains showroom in 2021. The company buys and sells brand new, retired and preloved LEGO, with everything cleaned and sanitised before being sold.
Previous events have attracted more than 2,000 people, and organisers are hoping to welcome at least 200 visitors to this event. Entry is free, with parking available nearby. The community centre is also located close to Strathpine train station.
While there will be no food vendors or entertainment at the first event, Judy said these could return if the pop-up proves popular.
