Spring is in the air, and what better way to celebrate than with a vibrant community day packed with fun, food and festivities?
This month, Encircle Pine Rivers Neighbourhood Centre is bringing people together again for its popular Spring Carnival – a free event designed for all ages to enjoy. From exciting kids’ activities to delicious food, live music and community stalls, it’s the perfect mix of entertainment and local connection.
Community Entertainment without the Cost
Encircle CEO Barb Power OAM said she acknowledged the tough time families were having financially.
“Our community days are about bringing people together, keeping kids entertained during the school holidays and giving families a break – all without the cost,” Barb said. “There’s something for everyone, and best of all, it’s free. Everyone is invited.”
There’s plenty to keep the little ones entertained, including a jumping castle, petting zoo, face painting, a scavenger hunt and fun games and craft activities. For older kids and adults, there’ll be community giveaways and live music throughout the day from The Company & Guests, setting the tone for a relaxed, festival-style atmosphere.
Hourly prize draws will take place as part of a passport competition, giving everyone the chance to win exciting goodies, adding even more fun to the day.
When it’s time for a bite to eat, you’ll be spoilt for choice with a range of free food available. Enjoy a classic sausage sizzle, burgers or hot dogs, and cool down with refreshing fruit cups, sno cones and fairy floss.
A family day like this would normally cost hundreds of dollars in tickets, food and rides, but the Spring Carnival is completely free to attend. It’s a chance to enjoy a proper day out in the community without stretching your budget.
Garden lovers can also browse plants for sale from the Pine Rivers Neighbourhood Centre community garden, with proceeds going directly back into the garden project.
This is the third Spring Carnival hosted by the Pine Rivers Neighbourhood Centre, and it keeps growing every year. It’s a great way to meet new people, discover local services and make lasting memories.
The event is free, but registration is required for catering purposes. Book your tickets here.
Parking is limited, but a free shuttle will be available. Visit the Encircle Facebook page for details.
