A vibrant celebration of culture, community and connection, the popular Pasifika Vibes Festival returns as a two-day event this year. 

Following on from the success of last year’s festival, organisers are giving visitors an extra day, with the event taking place at Pine Rivers Showgrounds across 4-5 October. The festival will showcase the traditions of Pasifika, Māori and multicultural communities through a program of food, music, dance and entertainment, inviting the wider community to experience the region’s diverse cultures. 

Event coordinator Steven Norris said the expansion marked an exciting new chapter for the festival, which has continued to grow in popularity over the years, while remaining firmly focused on connection.

Community Connection and Cultural Pride

“Expanding Pasifika Vibes Festival to two days is a really exciting step for us,” he said. “The festival has grown enormously over the years, but what remains at its heart is bringing people together.  

“It’s an opportunity for our Pasifika, Māori and multicultural communities to share their cultures with pride, and for the wider community to come along, experience the food, music, dance and hospitality, and be part of it with us.” 

With colourful performances, authentic flavours and plenty of opportunities to celebrate cultural traditions, the Pasifika Vibes Festival promises a memorable experience for people of all ages.

Brisbane Writers Festival Returns With Big Stories
