A weekend dedicated to crystals, jewellery and holistic wellbeing is set to transform Pine Rivers Showgrounds this September.
Of Earth and Light Events will present its first Crystal and Jewellery Show on 19 and 20 September, bringing together small businesses, readers, healers and creators from across Australia.
Event organiser and owner of The Galactic Fae, Brittney Burns, said the event was designed to complement Queensland’s lapidary gem shows by focusing on the spiritual side of crystals and gemstones.
“The world is changing and shifting, so we really felt like it was time to be able to bring awareness of other ways people are able to work and use crystals in their space, and different creations small businesses are bringing into the world,” Brittney said.
The event will feature crystals, specimens, gemstone jewellery, wire-wrapped jewellery, macramé jewellery, dream catchers, sun catchers, orgonites, crystal-cleaning kits, authors, readers, soul healers, local artists and more.
In addition to The Galactic Fae, family-owned business Julles Gemstone Jewellery, Tarot Lodge, which offers crystals, sterling silver jewellery and American Indian jewellery, psychic medium Emma Lavinia, who also offers Reiki healings, and Duft Creations, a local business using orgonites to balance and purify energy in environments affected by modern electronic interference.
The Spiritual Journey Behind the Show
Brittney said her connection to the spiritual world began when she was seven years old after seeing her grandmother following her passing.
“Having experienced a lot of death around me throughout my life, and ultimately leading to the passing of my fiancé, I finally stepped fully into the space where I knew I was meant to be my whole life,” she said.
She said her interest in crystals had since grown into learning a range of healing methods, including Reiki and healing from the stars.
“There’s so much on offer for us to learn and understand and expand into if we have the drive for it,” she said.
“There’s so much stigma around spirituality, but really all it comes down to is understanding and feeling different things most people are too busy to notice. Everyone has it in them, just a lot of the time we are so busy we just don’t get to notice them or have the time to dedicate to awaken those senses.”
Entry is by gold coin donation, with visitors able to nominate a charity when purchasing a ticket. All entry fees will be donated to the winning charity.
