A local husband-and-wife team with more than 25 years of experience in education have launched a new Success Tutoring centre in North Lakes.
The business, located at 5/9 Discovery Drive, offers personalised tutoring services for students across North Lakes, Mango Hill and Griffin, while fostering a sense of community and connection.
Franchise owners Brendon Waite (Director) and Sandra (Manager of Parent Engagement and Student Growth) hope to use their expertise to give back to the community they love.
A Community-Focused Approach to Learning
“Success Tutoring is the fastest growing tutoring franchise in Australia and we are the second one to operate in Brisbane,” Brendon said. “We spent six to 12 months researching the different options that are currently out in the market. After discussions with a variety of tutoring companies, we found that Success Tutoring aligned with our values, especially that of building community and access to education.
“At Success Tutoring, learning is not limited to tutoring, but takes place in a dynamic group environment where students thrive and grow together.”
The North Lakes centre has three main study hub areas and a private room, allowing for both group learning and personalised support.
Each student begins their journey with a pre-assessment in English and maths at their current school level, followed by the creation of a personalised learning plan in consultation with parents. Progress is monitored, with regular feedback provided to keep parents informed of their child’s development.
With community at the heart of Success Tutoring’s philosophy, Brendon and Sandra will offer free holiday programs for members, as well as host social events, like themed weeks and trivia, games and movie nights. They are also currently looking at opportunities to support local charities.
“As owners who have called North Lakes home for over 23 years, we have a real sense of belonging to this area and want to add value to North Lakes and the surrounding areas of Mango Hill and Griffin,” Brendon said.
The centre operates six days a week, 50 weeks a year and offers a membership-based model with no lock-in contract. For a limited time, families can become foundation members with a special $99 sign-on free, which includes two one-hour sessions per week for $60.
