Come along and join the fun at the Kallangur Twilight Markets and support this vibrant community event. The markets offer the perfect blend of food, lifestyle and entertainment, making it a great outing for the whole family.
Jesse C, Market Manager at Kallangur Twilight Markets, said the monthly events were part of a much wider vision.
“The Kallangur Twilight Markets is a volunteer-powered community initiative by the Frederick Marsden Youth Centre, a non-profit organisation that has served the region since 1929,” Jesse said.
“We’re aiming to cultivate our vast open green space on the corner of Marsden Road and Narangba Road into a thriving community-focused precinct, hosting events that benefit non-profit organisations, families and small businesses like market stall holders and food trucks.
“We had well over 4000 visitors at the first Kallangur Twilight Markets in March and we received an overwhelmingly positive response from the public. Many vendors sold out and we have been flooded with applications for future events.”
Kallum Raymont and Sahil Negi, chefs and co-owners of Chippy Chippy Bang Bang, said they were loving the fresh energy of the event.
“We are looking forward to bringing ‘proper’ fish and chips to the Kallangur Twilight Markets,” Kallum said. “Our hand-cut chips are a must-try! As we’re a new business, it’s so exciting to be involved in a new event like this.”
A Fun Evening Without Having to Travel Far
The markets offer a diverse range of food trucks, speciality stalls and handmade goods.
Wayne and Joanne Johnston, owners of Baked Spuds, said they were enjoying meeting the locals.
“We’re thrilled to bring our loaded baked potatoes and fries to this amazing local event,” Wayne said.” The support from the community has been fantastic and it’s great to see so many top food vendors and unique market stalls. We are so excited to be part of the action!”
Bring along a picnic blanket or camping chairs and spend some time soaking in the lively atmosphere. The markets are dog-friendly too, so the whole family can spend the evening together.
Entry to the markets has a cover charge of $3 at the gate or pre-pay online so you can skip the queues.
With free parking and a welcoming vibe, the Kallangur Twilight Markets are the perfect way to enjoy a fun evening without having to travel far.
