If you go down to the park on this day, you’re in for a big surprise, for today is the day the teddy bears have their picnic!
It’s time again for all the little ones (and their not-so-little parents too!) to find their favourite teddy, grab a picnic blanket and head along for a fun day in the park.
Teddy Bears Picnic is part of the City of Moreton Bay community events program, featuring an event across the region almost every weekend and providing access for all residents to enjoy a variety of free community events.
A Fun Day Out for the Whole Family
The fun day out in the park is presented by the City of Moreton Bay and delivered by Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT).
MBRIT CEO, Natassia Wheeler, said the Teddy Bears Picnic was the perfect event to bring families out for some fun in the sun.
“Teddy Bear Picnics are a much-loved event in the community that have been running for many years,” Ms Wheeler said. “They are ideal for families with children under the age of five.
“They are held on a school day to give the little ones a chance to experience an event without the boisterous bigger kids around. Therefore, the entertainment program is specifically designed for children under five.”
While the day is about the little members of the family, parents can also check out the market stalls and grab some food from the local food trucks coming in for the event.
The entertainment program is still being planned but Ms Wheeler said those who attend would experience an exciting line-up.
“Get ready to sing, dance and listen to stories at a jam-packed morning of family-friendly entertainment,” she said. “Keep the little ones busy with live stage entertainment, kid’s craft activities and workshops, amusement rides and so much more!
“Pack your teddies and picnic blankets and hope to see you on Thursday, 5 September for what is going to be the most amazing Teddy Bears Picnic at Pine Rivers Park.”
