Experience ‘One of These Nights’ of classic rock nostalgia when the Hall of Fame Icons concert returns to North Lakes for the first time this decade.

On Saturday, 7 December, two legendary bands will come to life when the Australian Eagles Show and Money for Nothin – Dire Straits Tribute Show take the stage at the Norths Leagues and Services Club in Kallangur.

Shayne Browne, lead guitarist and founding member of The Australian Eagles Show, said fans should get ready for a night that’s not just a concert but a walk down memory lane.

“For the past ten years, our talented band has travelled the country, bringing the timeless music of the Eagles to life,” Shayne said. “We’re here to deliver those unforgettable hits and the cherished memories that come with them.

“We know that Eagles fans know their music as well as we do, which is why we leave no stone unturned!

“As a close-knit group of performers, we don’t just play the music; we share funny anecdotes, personal stories about the Eagles, and sprinkle in some little-known facts that even the most dedicated fans will love!”

Concertgoers can look forward to renditions of Desperado, Take It Easy, One of These Nights, Life in the Fast Lane, Hotel California and many more of the instantly recognisable Eagles songs that have resonated with listeners since the early 1970s.

Joining the Australian Eagles Show is Money For Nothin, a five-piece band known for their faithful reproduction of the great guitar riffs and vocals that catapulted Dire Straits to fame in the 1980s.

Terry McMahon, who performs as Mark Knopfler, said the audience could expect to hear hits like Sultans of Swing, Walk of Life, Tunnel of Love, Romeo and Juliet and of course, Money for Nothing.

“We love playing these classic rock songs as we know the special memories they stir in people transports them to a really happy time in their lives,” Terry said.

“The audience often sings every word of the hit songs, even though some of them are 40 years old! The musicality and attention to detail has made this show a must-see for any rock enthusiast, guitar lover or Dire Straits fan.”

Tickets are $39 for members and $44 for non-members (excluding booking fees). To book go to www.northsleagues.com.au/whats-on/eagles-tribute-show/
