Rewind the clock to the golden days of pop-punk with a high-octane tribute to two of the genre’s biggest bands.
The Blink-182 and Green Day Experience is set to take over Norths Leagues and Services Club in Kallangur on 8 November, delivering two live sets full of iconic anthems.
Lead singer Michael Geeves said the show was “uptempo, fun and never too serious”.
“It is the ultimate party,” he said.
“People jump, dance, scream, sing, and the show goes to the next level. I love the energy and excitement of those moments in the show.
“It’s an honour to be able to play the songs and see how much people love these songs. It’s just as much fun for us as it is for them.”
From crowd favourites like All the Small Things to Basket Case, the night offers pop-punk fans a chance to belt out their favourite tunes in a throwback celebration of the biggest hits from Blink-182 and Green Day, as well as fan favourite tracks.
A Throwback Pop-Punk Party
“This year, we are really excited about the new show we have put together,” Michael said. “It still features all of the greatest hits, but we are also featuring fan favourite album tracks from Enema of the State (Blink-182) and Dookie (Green Day).
“It is great to be able to mix up what we do.”
Michael encouraged locals to come and experience the tribute performance for themselves.
“It’s all about being authentic and true to the music and the legacy of these great bands,” he said. “And we tell the best jokes!”
When asked if he had a message for North Lakes fans ahead of the night, he said:
“The same thing we tell everyone coming to our show, ‘Tell your Mum you’ll be home late!’”
Marketing Manager at Norths Leagues, James Bennett, said he was looking forward to welcoming the show to the venue.
“I am most excited to have a world-class act performing at Norths, and to bring a sound that we have not had at Norths for a very long time to life,” James said.
“Our members are always looking for new and exciting entertainment options, and I know they will enjoy this amazing show.”
