It’s time to get into the spirit of the festive season!

Christmas is just a matter of weeks away and it’s time to celebrate with the North Lakes Christmas Carols.

Headlining this year’s carols is singer/songwriter Natasha Rose, who some may remember from Australian Idol. Excited to be part of the event, Natasha said she couldn’t wait to hit the stage.

“I am such a Christmas lover – from the songs to decorating my house – Christmas has a strong grip on me,” she said. “It sounds cheesy, but I feel so honoured to be spreading Christmas cheer with my community (singing loud for all to hear). Yes, that’s an ‘Elf’ quote – I told you, I LOVE CHRISTMAS!”

She said the best part of Christmas was who you celebrate with.

“I wanted to invite local artists up alongside me to take this show to a whole new level,” she said. “Aria Cook, Millie Atlas, Ander Harlem and Levi X will be taking to the stage to perform some of your favourite Christmas tunes.

“If you know me, you know I love a good show! It’s all about bringing the energy, dancing along and making the audience feel a part of the music so that’s what event-goers can expect!”

Festive Fun for All Ages

Attendees can also squeeze in some early shopping with the twilight markets, where they can stroll under festoon lighting and enjoy local crafts, jewellery, handmade goodies, toys and more.

Treat the family to a delicious meal from one of the many food trucks available at the event. Plus, Santa’s Village will be buzzing with excitement as kids can immerse themselves in the holiday spirit by taking part in a variety of Christmas activities.

Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism CEO Natassia Wheeler said the carols were the perfect way for the community to come together and celebrate the magic of the season.

“This event is set to be a festive evening full of family-friendly fun,” Ms Wheeler said. “Bring the kids along to enjoy Santa’s Village and live entertainment. Come and enjoy the twilight markets, delicious food and sing along to your favourite Christmas carols. Celebrate the joy of Christmas with family and friends at the North Lakes Christmas Carols.”

Natasha also has an extra Christmas treat for her fans.

“My Christmas present to the next generation of dreamers and artists is that I have a YouTube Channel (@natasharoseofficial) where I am vlogging the Diary of an Aspiring Pop Star, where you can see the behind-the-scenes of what it takes to follow your passions,” she said. “If you want the inside scoop of this Christmas Carol event, keep your eyes peeled because there will be an episode all about it!”
