As of 2024, the house price median is $800,000 with a healthy rental yield of 4.4%, while the median price of a unit is $495,000. For example, as of 2024, the house price median for Teneriffe is a whopping $4,150,000, with the availability of houses being next to nothing. If you’re lucky enough to be a Mango Hill resident, you can take advantage of a range of corporate, retail, hospitality, and light industrial jobs. This is partly due to the suburb’s proximity to the major northside hub that is North Lakes. It’s also good to remember that Mango Hill is within an easy drive of the M1 and is located about 25 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD. Therefore, the distance still makes sense if you currently work in the city (or are seeking a job there).  

Additionally, the commute is very easy for those looking for work in the suburbs of Kallangur and Deception Bay, which are traditionally known to be blue-collar. These areas are quite easily ripe for labourers, technicians, tradespeople, machinery operators, and manufacturing and wholesale employees. 

Given the abundance of medical practices, dentistry offices, and senior living facilities in Mango Hill, it’s possible to find employment in this sector closer than you might have imagined. You’re spoiled for choice when it comes to schools in Mango Hill. Weather

The weather in Mango Hill is characteristic of Brisbane and surrounds, which is known for clear sunny days, mild winters (around 20 °C during the day and 10°C at night), and summers (approximately 30°C during the day) that are just perfect for a backyard BBQ and a trip to the beach.  

With the beautiful coast of the Redcliffe Peninsula located under a 20 mins drive, it’s easy to make the most of beach days during the area’s practically endless summers. Mango Hill has an exceptionally nice winter for outdoor activities; you can pretty much put away your puffer jackets and gloves, and you almost never have to worry about wearing layer upon layer of winter woollies.  

Getting There and Around

Mango Hill is in close proximity to the M1, a major motorway that services North Brisbane and surrounding areas, which makes getting to the area simple and straightforward. Furthermore, Mango Hill’s convenient connectivity to the M1 allows you to travel to destinations around Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, and even farther away.  

Using Anzac Avenue, it’s also easy to reach several surrounding suburbs, including Redcliffe. When travelling without a car, public transport is also well-suited, offering a variety of travel options.   

To Brisbane: Drive 3 minutes to the M1 in Griffin. From this point, it’s an approximately half an hour commute (in good driving conditions and using toll roads).  

To Redcliffe: Any easy 15-minute drive (depending on traffic conditions) along Anzac Avenue/State Route 71.  

To the Sunshine Coast: Head to the M1/Bruce Highway in Kallangur. Proceeding with your journey should get you to the Sunshine Coast’s central region within an hour.  

To the Gold Coast: Just like when you are heading south from Mango Hill to go to Brisbane, you’ll want to initially drive the 3 minutes to the Griffin exit of the M1. From here, it’s best to take the Gateway for the fastest route to the Gold Coast (using a toll road). Allocate a couple of hours for your trip in case of traffic delays.  

Public Transport

To Brisbane: You have the choice of two train stations. Either Mango Hill Station or Mango Hill East Station. From these stations, the travel time to Central Station in Brisbane is around 50 minutes.  

To Redcliffe: Hop on a bus that arrives at 30 min intervals from Anzac Avenue at Discovery Drive. You can expect to reach Redcliffe in about half an hour.
