The school has only been operating since 2016, and it takes kids through the next level of schooling, Prep to Year 6. It’s a small school with a big reputation for quality teaching.
For secondary schools, there are no options in Griffin, however Murrumba Downs offers a seamless transition with the Murrumba State Secondary College. It’s close by (around 3km), so kids can easily catch the bus or even ride their bikes and if you live here in Griffin, it’s the catchment school.

We’re lucky here in Griffin that we get to enjoy Queensland’s much-loved sunny weather, with mild winters and warm, vibrant summers perfect for outdoor activities and beach trips.
Our summers are filled with long, warm days where the sunshine calls everyone to the outdoors. With 29°C on average in the day and 22°C at night, it’s the perfect time for beach trips, backyard barbecues, and enjoying the parks in the area.
The cooler months in Griffin are just as inviting, averaging 21°C during the day and around 11°C at night. Mild temperatures make winter an ideal time for hiking, cycling, and exploring the natural beauty surrounding the suburb without the intensity of the summer heat.
Getting There and Around
Griffin’s strategic location just off the M1 Motorway is a bonus for residents and visitors. It provides easy connectivity to Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, and beyond, whether commuting to the city for work, heading to the beaches for a weekend escape, or exploring the local attractions.
To Brisbane: With Brisbane CBD just under 30km away, Griffin is an attractive option for professionals who work in the city but prefer to live in a more relaxed environment. One tip, though, is to try and travel outside peak hours if you’re driving, as traffic can get hectic!
To the Sunshine Coast: The Sunshine Coast, with its stunning beaches, scenic hinterlands, and vibrant communities, is easily accessible from Griffin. Thanks to the hassle-free drive, day trips and weekend getaways are easy!
Public Transport
Within Griffin, getting around is just as easy. Our infrastructure supports a smooth traffic flow, and public transport options are available for those who prefer not to drive. You can get a train to Murrumba Downs station and then a bus to Griffin (and vice versa).
